Just looked as if the autowrap had to stay perfectly clear of any dust or debris for it to work properly. During a long day of baling, that was hard to do. Had a 648 that wouldn't start a bale in dry conditions to save its life. Only thing that really helped was jump out an make a narrow windrow for 20' or so. Best thing you can do is weld new bars on the dimpled rollers. If you look at yours you will probably find that the edges are rounded off. Those are what grabs the hay and gets it rolling.
