I already knew that liked the way the 2011 shot, so I chose the Staccato. A $2500 gun is the least of my worries if I have to use it in self defense. They're not that expensive for a 2011, I don't have one but I'd say they're probably worth it- especially if you qualify for the mil/le 15% off + 6 mags deal.. If you just don't like the C2, replace it. For a carry piece, I think first and foremost, it needs to be reliable and accurate. After that, you need to like it and shoot it well. Funny you ask this question today. I actually emailed staccato yesterday and asked if the lead times for a steel p is still 90-120 days. And they got back to me and said yes, the lead times are accurate. I'm planning on purchasing next week and considering the fast track option. 1.The Staccato P DPO is slightly larger than an M&P but smaller than other 1911 pistols.
