Last year BU offered the wait list to approximately 4400 students. Approximately 2200 accepted spots on the list. 4 were admitted off the wait list. Also, in trying to keep the faith I wonder how many of those 2300 deposits will attend. Meaning, there might be a few that double deposited and are waiting for other waitlists/ or to decide between two schools. I’m clearly spending far too much time ... Extended waitlist just means more waitlist for us… they’ll come back to the list periodically and consider us for admission. I’m assuming this is based on the rate at which accepted waitlist applicants commit to Gtown. Since they review the list periodically, they’ll probably also accept applicants off the extended waitlist in waves ...I do remember writing a letter of continued interest, as well as communicating with my college counselor that I was focusing on achieving the highest GPA of my high school career.
