From what I saw the 4070 ti had about 20% more frames in most benchmark tests but not enough performance increase for me to justify the extra cost. I think the rtx 4070 comes out in a few days for around $599 making it another decent option. The new GPU market is so shit right now that a used 3080 for $500 is a good deal. 6800XT, 6900XT, 3080, 3080 12GB, 3080 Ti. All out of stock (at reasonable prices). And there are no next gen cards for less than $900 yet. And even the presumably $800 4070 Ti would be barely faster than the 3080. Don't wait for next gen. Don't buy new.
